President Muhammadu Buhari-led government has moved the documentary evidence against the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu to the courtroom of the Federal High Court in Abuja.

Naija News had earlier reported that the Federal Government slammed 15 charges against the IPOB leader, who is expected to plead ‘not guilty’ to all of them.

The courtroom has been flooded with documentary evidence to be tendered against Kanu by the Federal Government.

The lead counsel to the Federal Government, Shuaib Magaji Labaran, is currently inspecting the electronic equipment comprising various cameras which have been brought to the court.

As at the time of filing this report, Kanu has arrived at the courtroom with his lawyers led by Chief Mike Ozekhome, SAN.

Kanu on Wednesday is seen wearing the same Fendi outside the judge asked him to change.

Recall that during the court sitting on Tuesday, the new lead counsel to the IPOB leader, Mike Ozekhome (SAN), had complained that the DSS is still treating his client with disdain in its custody.

The Senior Advocate of Nigeria stated that the IPOB leader is being treated poorly by DSS operatives and being kept in solitary confinement in the custody of the secret police.

Reacting to the complaints, Justice Nyako ordered the DSS to allow Kanu to change the cloth which he wore during his first arraignment in June 2021.

Similarly, family members of the Biafran leader, including a nursing mother have taken their seats.

A representative of the British High Commissioner billed to watch the trial for the United Kingdom has also been allowed into the courtroom.
