JUST IN: Senate Screens, ClearS David Umahi For Ministerial Appointment

The Governor of Ebonyi State, David Umahi, on Monday stated that his defection from the Peoples Democratic Party to the All Progressives Congress does not pose a threat to his presidential ambition.

He further stated that he feel happy rather than being threatened for joining the ruling party.

According to Umahi, the more Governors the party has, the more chance the APC has to win the forthcoming general election.

Umahi stated this while speaking during an interview on Channels TV on Monday.

He said, “I will feel happy rather than being threatened. My ambition is in the hand of God.

“The more we have governors in the APC, the more chance we have to win the election. The more chance we have to continue the project of Nigeria from where Mr President will leave it by 2023.”

This is coming after Umahi informed President Muhammadu Buhari about his presidential ambition.

Umahi while speaking on the development disclosed that Buhari directed him to seek the support of the people and consult widely with party members and chieftains across the country.
