10 Boko Haram Commanders Killed, 18 Soldiers Wounded As Troops Clash With Terrorists

Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have killed fighters of the Islamic State West Africa Province in Maina-Hari, Biu Local Government Area of Borno State.

Naija News had earlier reported that ISWAP fighters on Saturday invaded the Mainahari community near Wakabiu in the Biu Local Government Area of Borno State.

However, men of the Nigerian Army were on the ground to repel the insurgents from causing havoc in the community.

A source that spoke with Daily Trust on the development disclosed that troops of operation Hadin Kai killed terrorists who attempted to attack the largest town in the Southern part of Borno.

A member of the Civilian Joint Task Force, Haruna Aliyu, while speaking on the attack disclosed that the terrorists invaded the community with six-gun trucks.

According to Aliyu, few of the terrorists escaped as military officers and local guards descended on them heavily.

He said, “We overpowered the outlawed group under 45 minutes. It was the best outing in recent times. We killed more than 40 Boko Haram members today.”
