Boko Haram terrorists have reportedly abducted an unspecified number of mobile policemen at the police mobile training school in Limankara Gwoza LGA of Borno State.

Naija News reports that Limankara is the hometown of Senator Ali Ndume, the Chairman Senate Committee on Army.

Boko Haram terrorists attacked the training school around 8:22 on Thursday the 13 of January in the night with gun trucks and shot sporadically into the air before kidnapping the mobile Police instructors, The PUNCH reports.

The training school is located twenty-five kilometers from Gwoza town. It is a border town between Borno and Madagali LGA of Adamawa State.

Recall that the terrorists had seven days back attempted to infiltrate the Nigerian Army base in Gwoza in which they were successfully repelled by men of the Nigerian army.

The latest attack is coming days after Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State had asked the Nigerian military to focus on the Islamic State in West Africa (ISWAP) fighters rather than Boko Haram terrorists.

The governor stated that the reason is that ISWAP terrorists are better armed and equipped, more intelligent, and more sophisticated than Boko Haram members.

Zulum made the submission when he received members of the Senate Committee on Army at the Government House in Maiduguri, the Borno capital on Wednesday.

The governor said the growing presence of these foreign-trained terrorists in the Southern part of the state and other parts has become a source of concern for his government.

Zulum, however, commended the military and the Federal Government for their hard work in ensuring that peace returns finally to the state, adding that stability has been recorded in the agricultural sector.
