5 Things You Must Know About Late Juju Singer, Dayo Kujore

One of Nigeria’s most famous Juju musicians, Dayo Kujore has reportedly died some hours ago.

According to his daughter, Ayinke Kujore, Dayo Kujore was said to have given up the ghost earlier today.

Following the death of the juju singer, below are five quick facts you should know about late Dayo Kujore.

1, Dayo Kujore was born on April 4, 1958, in a village in Abeokuta in Ogun state to Michael and Esther Kujore.

2, Like many singers, Dayo Kujore started juju music from the church after he got motivated to play Juju music through Joseph Oguntade who used to come to African church in Igboro during harvest festival to play Juju music.

3, For his elementary education, he attended African church primary school and then went to African church secondary School for his post-elementary education both schools were in Igboro in Abeokuta Ogun state. From there he went to Soba technical school in Ojuelegba in Lagos State where he trained as an engineer.

4, Dayo kujore started his own band in 1976 and release his first album in 1977 titled HA JESU BE AND E BA MI JIJO DAYO. He went ahead to release his second album at skylark record under Chief Aboderin owner of punch newspaper. Titled Eje ka sere ife.

5, Dayo Kujore has several wives and he was  blessed with lovely children, including Ayinke Kujore who is following the footsteps his footstep.
