Fenway Sports Put Liverpool Up For Sale After 12 Years

Welsh professional footballer, Morgan Boyes has left Liverpool to join Scottish Premiership club, Livingston.

Naija News reports that Liverpool confirmed the centre-back’s departure via an official statement released on Wednesday, January 5, 2022.

Boyes who is just 20-year-old had joined Liverpool’s Academy at U11 level and progressed to become a regular for the Reds’ U23s side after being part of the FA Youth Cup-winning squad in 2019.

The young lad is understood to have spent the first half of the 2020-21 season on loan at Fleetwood Town before returning to Merseyside.

The Reds, however, yesterday confirmed that a permanent deal has been sealed for the player’s move. Naija News reports that Liverpool made this known shortly after confirming the postponement of their Carabao Cup semi-final first-leg tie with Arsenal.

The Carabao Cup according to the report was postponed due to the increasing number of suspected positive COVID-19 cases among Liverpool’s players and staff.

In the same vein, Arsenal on Wednesday disclosed their 22-year-old defender, Jonathan Dinzeyi, has been recalled from his loan spell with Carlisle United.

The former England Youth international is understood to have also spent the first half of the season on loan with League Two side Carlisle United.

In other news, Nigerian professional footballer and Super Eagles captain, Ahmed Musa, is bereaved.

Naija News reports that the 29-year-old player missed the Super Eagles’ last training session on Wednesday, December 5, after receiving the sad news.

According to Sahara Reporters, the National Team management sympathized with the Fatih Karagumruk of Turkey striker and subsequently granted him permission to leave the team’s camp to be with family members.

Musa is, however, expected to join his teammates in Cameroon ahead of Nigeria’s first game of the competition against Egypt on January 11.
