Hoodlums Attack Zamfara TV Station ‘To Teach Editor Lesson’

The office of Thunder Blowers Media, an online newspaper/TV station in Gusau, was reportedly invaded by hoodlums on Monday night.

The armed thugs according to reports, stormed the media house at night and disrupted an ongoing operation after meeting the absence of their target.

Naija News learnt that they had come to ‘teach one of the staff, Abdul Balarabe a lesson he will never forget.’

However, since they could not find the target, they pounced on one of the staff whose identity was revealed as Mansur Rabe.

They reportedly destroyed some equipment in the media house and also went away with a laptop and phone belonging to one of the staff.

Confirming the incident in a statement released hours after, the station said; “the hoodlums said they were sent after one of our staff, but being absent, they chose to pound on the available staff instead, injuring Mansur Rabe, a multimedia editor, while destroying some of our working equipment.”

The statement further disclosed that “the thugs went away with Rabe’s phone and a laptop computer belonging to another staff, identified as Sulaiman Dan Aljanna.”

Thunder Blower described the development as worrisome and that they have no idea who the mastermind of the invasion could be.

No comment, however, has been made by any security agency and efforts to get a response from the spokesman of the Zamfara State Police Command, Mohammed Shehu, proved abortive as at when the report was given.

In another news, some bandit terrorists have killed seven family members in a fresh attack in Kaduna State.

It was reported that the armed gunmen stormed two local government areas of Igabi and Zaria on Monday night where they killed no fewer than nine residents including the members of the same family.

Naija News learnt that the attack was scary that residents had to flee their homes.

Fortunately, troops of the Nigerian Army reportedly arrived at the scenes and succeeded in neutralizing two of the bandits and recovered an AK47 rifle from them.

Confirming the attack in a statement on Tuesday, the state Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, said no fewer than five persons sustained degrees of injuries during the invasion while other residents narrowly escaped the scenes.

According to Aruwan, the security reports made available to the state government earlier revealed that the bandits first attacked Kudu Da Gari settlement in Sabon Birnin where seven people were killed.
