What Scared Me During 2023 Elections - El-Rufai Reveals

The Nasir El-Rufai-led Government has extended its earlier ban on commercial and private motorcycles in the state indefinitely.

Naija News report that Governor El-Rufai had banned the use of motorbikes and tricycles in Kaduna state in a bid to curb the activities of bandits in the state.

However, the initial three-month ban imposed by the state government elapsed in December 2021.

Announcing the extension in a statement on Tuesday, Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, said the decision was to totally curb the high rate of insecurity in the state.

Aruwan stated that the restriction on the movement of tricycles from dusk till dawn in Birnin Gwari, Giwa, Igabi, Chikun, Kachia, Kagarko and Kajuru LGAs has been extended.

He added that other containment measures such as the ban on possession of or wielding of dangerous weapons and others were also fully in place.

Meanwhile, the presidency has announced that two separate interviews with President Muhammadu Buhari will hit the airwaves on Wednesday and Thursday.

A statement made available to Naija News on Wednesday morning which was signed by the special adviser to the president on media and publicity, Femi Adesina urged Nigerians to please watch.

According to the statement, one interview will hold by 7 pm on Wednesday 5th January while the second interview will hold on Thursday, 6th January by 8 pm.

The short statement reads: “Channels Television will broadcast its exclusive interview with President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at 7 pm.

“Similarly, another interview session with the President by the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) will be aired on the network service of the station on Thursday, January 6 at 8 pm.
