A former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Chief Olu Falae has slammed Chief Bisi Akande as an individual who speaks without giving thoughts to what he says.

Falae stated that there is no iota of sense in the recent autobiography, ‘My Participation’ published by Akande in December 2021, describing the former interim National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as someone who speaks without thinking of the consequence.

Specifically, Falae also rejected the claims made by Chief Akande that he and some others including Ayo Adebanjo attended the 2014 CONFAB organized by former President Goodluck Jonathan due to the money and other incentives they would receive.

Speaking during an interview with newsmen at his country home in Ondo State, Falae said his passion for a better Nigeria made him attend the confab.

“I have decided not to say a word about the nonsense which Akande wrote. But I just know Akande is a very reckless person,” he said.

“He’ll just say anything without thought, without thinking about the consequences. He will just say it like an irresponsible person. That is how he speaks.”

Meanwhile, the Governor of Abia State, Okezie Ikpeazu, has canvassed for the next president of Nigeria to be of Igbo extraction.

Ikpeazu argued that no other tribe in Nigeria has believed in Nigeria better than the Igbos through their investments in every part of the country.

The governor made the submission on Sunday when he received a former Senate President, Anyim Pius Anyim, at his country home in Umuobiakwa, Obingwa Local Government Area of the state.

Ikpeazu said Anyim remains one of the Igbo politicians qualified to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023 and rescue the country from the All Progressives Congress (APC).

According to the governor, the former Secretary to the Government of the Federation has good public service credentials and experience to become the next president.

Ikpeazu assured Anyim of his support, asking other tribes to give the South-East a chance to produce the next Nigerian President.
