Zamfara Bandit Kingpin, Auta, Bombed To Death

The Nigerian Air Force has killed a notorious bandit kingpin attacking communities in Zamfara State, Auta, in an airstrike.

It was gathered that members of his group were also killed during the operation around his camp located at Jama’are Bayan Dutchi, in Nasarawa Mailayi District of Zamfara, on Saturday.

As of the time of filing this report, the casualty figure from the operation is unknown.

President Buhari’s New Year Day Message To Nigerians (Full Text)

President Muhammadu Buhari, on Saturday, released a letter to Nigerians to commemorate the 2022 New Year.

Buhari expressed gratitude to God for another year attained as a country, united by a common destiny and resolute in our determination to overcome the several challenges along the path to build the great and prosperous nation of our dream.

The President identified some challenges affecting the progress of the country and the readiness of his administration to tackle the issues.

Gov. Wike Threatens To Sack Four First-Class Traditional Rulers In Rivers State (See List)

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has threatened to remove four first-class traditional rulers from office over alleged insubordination to the state government.

Wike in his new year message to the residents of the state which was posted on his Facebook page on Saturday, accused the identified royal fathers of constantly failing to attend state functions.

He added that should they continue to absent themselves from state functions and meetings of the Traditional Rulers Council, the government will be forced to remove them from office and replace them.

RCCG’s Pastor Adeboye Releases Eight Powerful Prophecies For 2022

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has released powerful prophecies for 2022.

Naija News reports that Adeboye released the prophecies from God during the annual CrossOver Service in the 2022.

In the prophecies for the new year, the popular clergyman warned his ‘children’ against all manner of prophecies from different ‘men of God’.

He warned that the Omicron variant is not a baby of COVID-19 but a grandchild.

Okorocha, Uzodinma Worked Together To Oust Ihedioha, Behind Insecurity – IPOB

The outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has accused Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State and Senator Rochas Okorocha (APC-Imo West) of sponsoring insecurity in the State.

In a statement by IPOB spokesperson, Emma Powerful, Okorocha and Uzodinma fall out after ganging to oust Emeka Ihedioha.

According to the pro-Biafra, youths armed by the duo are responsible for the Insecurity in the southeast state.

2023: Free Nnamdi Kanu Else There Won’t Be Election In Eastern Nigeria – Ohanaeze

The Igbo socio-cultural group, Ohanaeze Ndigbo has threatened to boycott the 2023 general elections should President Muhammadu Buhari-led government fail to release the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu.

Naija News reports that the Biafra agitator is currently facing charges bordering on treasonable felony instituted against him at the Federal High Court, Abuja, by the Nigerian Government.

It could be recalled that Kanu was granted bail in April 2017 over health conditions but skipped bail after flouting some of the conditions given to him by the court.

He was, however, rearrested and forcefully repatriated to Nigeria in June 2021.

My Government Will Create More Jobs For Nigerians In 2022 – Buhari

The President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari has given Nigerians an additional reason to be optimistic in the new year 2022.

This is as the President promised that in the year 2022, his administration will provide more jobs for Nigerians.

Buhari made the declaration as part of his new year message to the people of the country where he declared that the government plans to leverage on ICT platforms to create more jobs for Nigerians.

He added that more foreign investors are expected to invest in the country’s economy which will result in more job opportunities.

Gov. Wike Blames FG For Black Soot In Port Harcourt

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has put a huge part of the blame over the black soot in the atmosphere of Port Harcourt, the state capital at the feet of the federal government.

According to the Governor, the black soot is an environmental disaster which his administration has tried to tackle but the lack of cooperation from the federal government has so far frustrated their efforts.

Wike in a part of his new year message to the people of Rivers State submitted that the activities of those carrying out illegal bunkering and artisanal crude oil refiners is majorly responsible for the soot enveloping Port Harcourt.

Lagos: Sanwo-Olu Signs 2022 Budget Of N1.758trn

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State on Friday signed the 2022 Appropriation Bill of N1.758 trillion christened ‘Budget of Consolidation’ into law.

This was made known in a statement sent to Naija News and signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Gboyega Akosile.

Governor Sanwo-Olu, while signing the Bill at the Lagos House, Ikeja, said that the capital expenditure stands at N1.166 trillion, representing 66 percent of the budget estimates, while recurrent expenditure is N591 billion, representing 34 percent, to maintain the 66:34 percent budget tradition of Lagos State.

Bishop Oyedepo Releases Prophetic Declarations For 2022
