One Terrorist Killed As Troops Repel Attack On Military Post In Kaduna

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has reacted to the killing of scores of bandit leaders in Zamfara State on Saturday morning

Naija News reports that the bandit leaders were killed by troops of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) during an airstrike operation carried out by the Air Force component of operation Hadarin Daji in communities across Zamfara.

Also, a notorious bandit kingpin attacking communities in the state, Auta, was killed during the airstrike.

It was gathered that members of his group were also killed during the operation around his camp located at Jama’are Bayan Dutchi, in Nasarawa Mailayi District of the state.

Confirming the operation, Nigerian Air Force spokesperson, Edward Gabkwet, said the raid was successful and applauded the troops for a job well done.

Gabkwet, however, said the identities of the bandit leaders killed and the number of casualties involved have not yet been confirmed.

I can only confirm that yes indeed, very early today on 1 January, 2022, we undertook some strikes in Zamfara based on credible intel,” he said.

Meanwhile, bandit terrorists have released two more kidnapped students of Bethel Baptist High School at Maraban Damishi in Kaduna State.

Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Kaduna State, Rev. Joseph John Hayab, made the disclosure on Saturday.

He disclosed that one of the students was freed on December 28, 2021, while the other student was released on January 1, 2022.

Hayab stated that only one student is still with the bandits, adding that efforts are being made to secure the release of the student.

The CAN chairman in Kaduna, therefore, revealed that a total of 120 students of Bethel Baptist High School have so far been released by the bandits.
