PDP Convention Committee Releases Update

Former Senate President David Mark has revealed ways to defeat bandits, Boko Haram terrorists and other criminals in the country.

In a Christmas message issued by his spokesman, Paul Mumeh, the Benue-born politician advised security operatives to change their operational tactics.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain also urged the Intelligence community to conduct comprehensive research on citizens to know the causes of insecurity in the nation.

Mark disclosed that the security challenges facing the country are “beyond ordinary”, asking Nigerians to use the Christmas period to seek divine intervention.

He also asked the Federal and state governments to solve the insecurity situation in the country and restore hope to the citizens.

Nothing can be more depressing and frustrating than a people without hope or future.

“There is no need to pretend or shy away anymore. It should be stated categorically that the tragedy that has befallen Nigeria in terms of insecurity is beyond ordinary.

I urged religious leaders to preach peace, tolerance and unity. Nigeria remains the only home and country we can call our own,” he said.

Meanwhile, Human rights activist and former presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore has called out former Nigerian military president, General Ibrahim Babangida for endorsing Vice President Yemi Osinbajo for the 2023 presidency.

Sowore on Friday criticized Babangida as someone with little political relevance in the present dispensation.

Naija News recalls Babangida endorsed the Vice President when he was visited by the Osinbajo Grassroots Organisation at his Hilltop residence in Minna, Niger capital, on Thursday.

The elder statesman while speaking during the visit charged Osinbajo to be resilient and contest in the 2023 general elections.
