Saraki Condemns Gruesome Attack By Bandit Terrorists In Kaduna State

Former Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki has described as devastating, the recent gruesome attack on some residents of Kaduna State by terrorists.

The attack which left 38 persons dead was confirmed in a statement on Sunday by Samuel Aruwan, Kaduna commissioner for internal security and home affairs

Aruwan said the attacks were reported to the state government by the military and police authorities.

He said according to the report, bandits attacked Kauran Fawa, Marke and Riheya villages in Idasu, Giwa LGA, leaving a total of 38 residents dead.

Reacting to the incident in a statement on Monday via his Facebook page, Saraki commiserated with the families and those affected by the attack, saying their pains can only be imagined.

He wrote: “I just received the reports of yesterday’s gruesome attack on multiple villages in the Giwa local government area of Kaduna State. From all indications, the intentional decimation of the affected communities is truly devastating.

“With 38 innocent lives lost to the actions of these terrorists, I can only imagine the pain that all the affected families and communities must be experiencing at this difficult time.

“As they mourn their losses, my family and I send our deepest and most heartfelt condolences and prayers to the people of Kaduna State and Giwa LGA. I also pray that Almighty Allah grants the souls of those we have lost a place amongst the righteous ones in Aljannah Firdaus.”

Meanwhile, Boko Haram terrorists have reportedly attacked a community in Askira Uba Local Government Area of Borno State Sunday afternoon.

It was gathered that the attack by the insurgents left many people killed while others sustained various degrees of injuries.

The insurgents reportedly stormed Kilangal village, the hometown of Engr Abdullahi Musa Askira, the Deputy Speaker of Borno State House of Assembly where the terrorists set houses ablaze.

The Air Task Force fighter jet was said to have arrived about two hours late after the attack.
