“Marriage Was Not Designed To Make You Happy” – Pastor Okonkwo

Popular Nigerian pastor, Kingsley Okonkwo has told unmarried people that marriage does not make one happy.

The clergyman took to his Instagram account to reveal that the purpose of marriage is not to make one happy but better.

He asked singles to enjoy their unmarried days because things become quite different after they tie the knot.

Okonkwo warned that if you were not happy as a single person it would be impossible to be happy when married while also maintaining that marriage and kids do not bring true happiness.

In other news, Nigerian singer Seun Kuti has reacted to the pope’s statement saying sex outside marriage is not the greatest sin.

Recall that Naija News reported that Pope Francis had said that sex outside marriage is not the most serious sin.

The clergyman revealed this in a question and answer session during a flight from Greece to Italy on Monday.

When asked about the Archbishop of Paris Michel Aupetit’s “ambiguous” relationship with a woman, the pope had stated that the sins of the flesh were not the most serious.

Reacting to the proclamation by the pope, the singer has called on wives to forgive their husbands when they cheat on them and husbands should also forgive when the same thing is done to them. Read more.
