The Lagos State Police Command has arrested three suspects linked to the death of eight children in the Badagry area of the state.

Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, made this disclosure while addressing newsmen on Tuesday at the headquarters of the command in Ikeja.

Odumosu revealed that one of the suspects is the grandmother of a three-year-old child who also died in the unfortunate incident.

Naija News recalls the bodies of the children were recovered last week Thursday from an abandoned Honda Sport Utility Vehicle parked on Adelayo Street in the Jah-Michael area of Badagry.

The children, aged four to six years old, were said to be playing inside the SUV when they got trapped and reportedly died of suffocation due to lack of air.

The resident claimed that the children were found dead a few hours later when a parent of the children came looking for her ward.

Meanwhile, Dowen College, Lagos, has released another statement in respect to the incident that led to the death of a 12-year-old student of the school, Sylvester Oromoni.
