Former Supreme Court Judge, Babalakin Is Dead

A former judge of the Nigerian Supreme Court, Justice Bolarinwa Babalakin, has died at the age of 94.

Naija News reports that Babalakin who was called to the London bar in the late 1950s died on Saturday morning.

He is the father of billionaire businessman and lawyer Wale Babalakin.

The late jurist who hails from Gbongan in Osun State will be buried today by 4pm according to Muslim rites.

Justice Babalakin was a devout Muslim and an active member of the Muslim Association Of Nigeria, Ansarudeen Society.

He was also a former president of the Muslim Ummah of South-West Nigeria (MUSWEN).

He is survived by many children and grandchildren.
