Sylvester: Detained Dowen College Students Granted Bail

Dowen College has sent a circular to all parents and guardians that they would be teaching students online.

Recall that  Naija News had earlier reported that Sylvester Junior, a 12-years-old boy was allegedly beaten to death by his fellow students in the school for refusing to join a cult.

Perrie, an uncle to Oromoni in a post on his Twitter account disclosed that his cousin until his death was subjected to bullying, torture and harassment.

Speaking to reporters on Friday, Lagos Commissioner for Education, Folasade Adefisayo, ordered the indefinite closure of the school.

The commissioner stated the state government took the decision after a meeting with the school management and staff on Friday afternoon.

Adefisayo disclosed that the reopening of the school depends on the outcome of an investigation into the death of the 12-year-old student.

However Naija News has gathered that Dowen College has sent mails to parents and guardians stating that the school will not be shutting it’s learning processes completely,  maintaining that it  would be moved online for safety and transparency.
