Sylvester Oromoni: Dowen College Shuts Down

Dowen college has announced the temporary closure of the school in the wake of the controversies surrounding the death of one of its students.

Recall that Naija News earlier reported that a young boy, Sylvester Oromoni was reportedly  beaten to death at a Lagos school for refusing to join a cult.

According to Perrie, an uncle to the 12-year-old boy who was bullied and beaten, via the microblogging platform, Twitter, revealed that his cousin until his death was a student of a college in Lagos State who was beaten to death by his peers for refusing to join a cult.

However the school released a statement saying that the boy had injured himself in the hip while playing football. The incident have sparked a lot of outrage with most Nigerians demanding for justice.

In a recent development the school has sent a circular to parents and guardians that the school will be closed for two days.

Meanwhile, the Synagogue Church of All Nations, SCOAN, founded by late prophet Temiope Balogun, will on Sunday, December 5, 2021, reopen for live service after closing for 21 months.

The development was disclosed by the church on Friday, adding that its gate will be open for its global members who have called for live service to commence in the church.

The late founder of the church had in March 2020 suspended the regular Sunday service in the church due to the Coronavirus outbreak across the world. Read more
