Controversial journalist and blogger, Kemi Olunloyo has alleged that popular disc jockey, Catherine Udeh, professionally known as DJ Switch, misled Nigerians with her report on last year’s Lekki Toll Gate event.

Naija News recalls that DJ Switch gained the attention of Nigerians last year after she did a live video of protesters being shot by personnel of the Nigerian Army at the Lekki tollgate during the nationwide EndSARS protest.

The disc jockey has, however, allegedly fled the country since the event, claiming that the Federal Government of Nigeria is after her life.

Taking to her Facebook page on Thursday, December 2, Kemi Olunloyo said DJ Switch was not a Hero as had acted.

The investigative journalist mentioned in her post that DJ Switch should emulate the likes of CNN, EIE and Amnesty Nigeria in apologizing to Nigerians over her allegedly ‘misleading’ reportage.

Olunloyo, however, disclosed that she watched in another video how a female NTA reporter and her cameraman were caught in the crossfire about the time the army arrived.

According to her, she could not confirm from her investigation if the NTA staff were from Lagos or Abuja but that they were there that night to cover the nightly activities and were trapped at the scene.

Olunloyo wrote: “DJ Switch has misled the world because of her LIVE video where she was acting like a hero. SHE WAS NOT ONE. This may be why the Buhari government may be bragging that they will “disgrace and expose her soon” Unfortunately there was ANOTHER VIDEO I watched last November 2020 during my #IJLekkimassacre investigation. A female NTA Reporter and her cameraman caught in the crossfire about the time the army arrived 6:30pm October 20th 2020.

“His camera was videotaping DJ Switch and a lot of other things while they were ducking away from bullets. They had no idea what they captured. NTA is owned by the government. I didn’t know if the state sponsored network staff were from Lagos or Abuja but they were there that night to cover the nightly activities and were trapped at the scene. DJ Switch should apologize to Nigerians and the world like CNN, EIE and Amnesty Nigeria for their “massacre numbers” and propaganda.”
