I Only Slept With Her Once – Man Says After Raping Daughter

The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has arrested a man identified as Rojaiye Balogun for allegedly raping his 17-year-old daughter.

Naija News reports that this was made known by the Ogun NSCDC Commandant, Kolawole Taiwo on Thursday.

He stated that the 65-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday at Imomo-Ijebu, Ijebu-Ode Local Government Area of the state.

NSCDC commandant disclosed that Balogun was reported at the Anti-Human Trafficking, Irregular Migration Unit of the command.

According to Taiwo, the suspect confessed to the crime, stressing that he did it only once.

The suspect however denied being the biological father of the girl, stating that he only slept with her when the teenagers mother travelled.

Reacting, the victim insisted that the 65-year-old man is her biological father.

She added that the Balogun raped her four times of different occasions.

The 17-year-old also stated that the man promised to give her ₦1,000 to allow him to sleep with her.

“I refused, but he forced himself on me,” she stated.

She disclosed that she had in the past reported her father to her mother but she refused to believe her.
