Alleged Kidnap: Appeal Court Fixes Date To Decide On Prophet Sotitobire’s Life Sentence

A court of appeal in Akure, Ondo state has revealed the date it would be passing its judgement in the kidnapping case involving Prophet Sotitobire.

The court stated that it would be passing it’s ruling on December 3rd 2021.

The Ondo state commissioner of Justice, Charles Titilayo informed journalists of the latest development.

Prophet Babatunde Alfa, also known as Prophet Sotitobire who is the founder of Sotitobire Miracle Church asked the court of appeal to review his case after a junior court gave him the life sentence.

The prophet, alongside six other members of his church were found guilty of kidnapping in February 2020.

The clergymen and his team had abducted a one year old boy in his church in 2019.

In other news, a fake lawyer identified as Stanley Ejirogene who has been practicing for over 10 years was arrested by security operatives in Port Harcourt.

Naija News reports that Stanley was remanded in prison custody by a High Court.

The suspect who has been practicing for over 10 years, was exposed in court on Wednesday, December 1, during cross-examination, when he could not tell the court the University and law school he attended. Naija News learnt. Read more.
