Buhari Hosts South African President Ramaphosa In Aso Rock Villa Amid Omicron COVID-19 Threats

Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday (today) paid host to his South African counterpart, President Cyril Ramaphosa, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Naija News understands that Ramaphosa was given a warm reception with a guard of honour accompanied with a 21-gun salute upon arrival.

The South African leader according to the PUNCH, arrived at the Aso Villa at about 10 am today and was received by President Buhari himself.

Naija News reports that Ramaphosa’s vitist to the Villa is coming hours after the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control confirmed the first two cases of the Omicron variant of COVID-19 in Nigeria.
