Human rights activist and co-convener of the BringBackOurGirls movement, Aisha Yesufu, has reacted to the resignation of the Chief Executive Officer of Twitter, Jack Dorsey.

Yesufu in her reaction said the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, can claim responsibility for the resignation of Jack.

The activist in her reaction said the Federal Government would soon address Nigerians that Jack’s resignation was part of negotiations to return the social media platform to the Nigerian space.

Naija News had earlier reported that Jack Dorsey will be replaced by Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Parag Agrawal.

The company in a statement released on Monday said Jack would exit his position but would remain on the board until the stockholder meeting in 2022.

Aisha in a post on her Twitter account wrote, “I wouldn’t be surprised to hear Lai Mohammed claim they forced Jack to resign. They might even say it was part of the agreement for them to unban Twitter in Nigeria.”

This is coming after, social media platform, Twitter, allegedly agreed to all the conditions presented to it by the Nigerian Government in order to lift the suspension of its operations in the country.
