A 21-year-old man has been apprehended by the police for murdering his girlfriend by giving her abortion pills.
The suspect, Muhammed Zubairu was arraigned by the police for criminal conspiracy and causing death by an intent to commit abortion.
Zubairu admitted to conspiring with his friend to administer abortion pills to his girlfriend Sane Fidelis thereby causing her death.
After Fidelis took the drugs she developed complications, complained of stomach pain, and was later rushed to the specialist hospital at Yola where she died.
The deceased sister Siyona Fidelis reported the incident to the police in Mayo Belwa LGA and the suspect was apprehended. Zubairu said he only had sexual intercourse with his girlfriend three times.
When asked to enter his plea he pleaded guilty to the crime.
The ruling magistrate, Alheri Ishaku adjourned the case to 13th December, 2021, and ordered for the accused to be remanded in custody
Meanwhile, a Nigerian lady identified as Isioma Favour has taken to social media to cry and lament bitterly over her inability to get married before December 4th.
According to Isioma who took to a public group to speak about her predicament revealed that earlier this year, precisely in January she had picked December 4th, 2021 by faith during a prophetic service in the church. Read more
