Boko Haram/ISWAP Planning To Attack Nigeria’s Borders – DSS Raises Alarm

The Department of State Service, DSS, has raised an alarm over a planned attack by Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists on Ogun border communities and other border communities across Nigeria.

Naija News reports that this was made known in a letter dated November 25, 2021, addressed to the Customs Area Controller, Nigeria Customs Service, Ogun Area Command, Abeokuta.

The letter was titled, ‘Plans by Insurgents To Launch Attacks On Military Bases In Various Border Communities,’ and signed by the State Director of Security, Ogun State Command, M.B. Abdullahi.

According to the DSS, the Nigeria Customs Service must be on high alert over the impending attack.

Tagging Bandits As Terrorists Won’t Change Anything – Sheikh Gumi Fires Buhari

Controversial Kaduna-based Islamic scholar Sheikh Ahmad Gumi has accused the Muhammadu Buhari-led Federal Government of succumbing to the blackmail to tag bandits as terrorists.

Recall that Justice Taiwo Taiwo of the Federal High Court, Abuja, had declared that the activities of bandits in Nigeria is terrorism.

The court also directed the federal government to publish it’s proclamation in the official gazette.

Reacting in a statement by Malam Tukur Mamu, his Media Consultant, Gumi stated that naming bandits terrorists won’t change anything but only result into more violence.

While accusing an unnamed section of the country of pressuring Buhari, the cleric alleged that the action was taken for political expediency.

FG Directs Civil Servants To Resume, Present COVID Vaccination Card

The Federal Government has directed all civil servants to resume work on Wednesday, December 1, 2021.

The Head of Service (HoS), Folasade Yemi-Esan, who gave the directive in a circular issued on Friday, also asked the workers to present evidence of the COVID-19 test and vaccination upon resumption.

Recall that the HoS had instructed all federal workers on Grade level 12 and below to work from home as a measure to curb the outbreak of the COVID-19 in the country.

According to the circular, all civil servants who fail to get vaccinated will not be allowed entry into their offices and will be penalised for flouting the government’s directive.

Paid IPOB Agents Convinced Trump Govt To Move Against Nigeria – Presidency

The Muhammadu Buhari-led administration has accused the proscribed Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) sponsoring foreign individuals against Nigeria.

The presidency stated that the pro-Biafra group was behind the listing of Nigeria amongst countries that suppress religious freedom.

Recall that the administration of former US President, Donald Trump, had in 2020 placed Nigeria among countries against freedom of religion.

‘We’re Ready To Crush Them’ – Malami Hails Declaration Of Bandits As Terrorists

Following Thursday’s proscription of bandits in the country, the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami (SAN), says the Federal Government is ready to crush all terrorist groups.

In a statement on Friday by his spokesman, Dr Umar Gwandu, the justice minister said the tagging of bandits as terrorists will give the military the power to come down heavily on terrorists disturbing the peace of the country.

He asserted that the ruling of a Federal High Court, Abuja, has strengthened the government’s resolve to curb terrorism in Nigeria in line with international standards on the rules of engagement.

Malami submitted that the court order will also allow the government to go after sympathisers and sponsors of banditry and terrorism in the country.

Bandit Terrorists Kidnapping On Abuja-Kaduna Highway Killed

Bandit terrorists kidnapping and killings innocent Nigerians on the Abuja-Kaduna highway have been killed by Special Forces of the Nigerian Army, Naija News has learnt.

It was learnt that scores of the bandit terrorists were killed during a raid on their hideouts in Kaduna forests in the North West state.

The leader of the terrorist group was also neutralized during a fierce battle with the Special Forces and brings an end to the criminals’ nefarious activities along the expressway.

Recall that the terrorist activities had for the past one week constituted a serious security threat and unnecessary nuisance to innocent travellers.

The Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami (SAN) has said the nefarious activities of bandits was the reason the govt approached the court to tag them as terrorists.

Naija News report that Malami made this known in a letter dated October 29, 2021, and addressed to President Muhammadu Buhari.

The minister advised the President to proscribe various bandit groups in the country because their activities was threatening national security and the existence of the nation.

Malami submitted that bandits groups like Yan Bindiga and Yan Ta’adda have continued to kidnap school children, abduct commuters, rustle cattle and kill innocent victims.

The minister stated these bandits’ activities have a negative effect on the people and the economy.

Matawalle Reveals When Mobile Networks Will Be Restored To Zamfara Communities

The ban on telecommunication networks in Zamfara State due to bandit terrorists activities will be lifted on Tuesday, Governor Bello Matawalle has revealed.

Naija News reports that the state government had ordered the shut down of telecommunication services on September 4 as part of the measures to curb the attacks by armed terrorists and kidnapping in the state.

The Matawalle-led government later restored mobile network service to Gusau, the state capital, a month later.

Speaking on Saturday, Matawalle disclosed that telecom services will be restored in 48 hours.

According to the governor, his government will also lift the ban on weekly market activities in the state.

‘No More War’ – Nigeria Lift Suspension On Emirates Airlines

Emirates Airlines belonging to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have been cleared to fly into Nigeria without any condition.

Naija News reports that this was disclosed in a statement on Saturday by the Director of Public Affairs in the Ministry of Aviation, James Odaudu.

The statement quoted the Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, as saying that the Nigerian Government and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have settled their differences.

Recall that the Muhammadu Buhari government had barred Emirates airlines from flying into Nigeria over UAE’s travel restrictions on Nigerians as regards COVID-19 protocols.

Elder statesman Tanko Yakasai has disclosed details of his recent meeting with the former governor of Lagos State, Bola Tinubu.
