Kaduna Govt Reacts As Video Of Security Agents Parading Bandits Go Viral On The Internet

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has okayed the immediate restoration of telecommunications services to communities in Kaduna State.

Naija News reports that this was disclosed in a message to the Kaduna State Government on Friday.

The message was following a request made by the Nasir El-Rufai-led government.

It said, “Approval is hereby granted for you to restore telecom services in the following LGAs of Kaduna State with immediate effect.

“Birnin Gwari, Giwa, Igabi, Chukun, Kajuru, Kachia, Kagarko.

“Please you are required to confirm to the Commission the implementation of this directive as soon as is completed.

“Thank you.

“Letter will follow as usual.”

Recall that the Kaduna government had lifted the three-month telecommunications shutdown imposed in October due to the recent attacks by bandits along the Kaduna-Abuja expressway.

The Kaduna State Government announced this in a statement released through the Commissioner of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan.

According to Aruwan, the relevant government agency in charge of telecommunication has been directed to lift the ban.

Aruwan further stated that other measures like the ban on motorcycles, ban on weekly markets, selling of fuel in kegs remain in force.
