Day-Old Baby Discovered Alive Inside Well

A day-old baby has been discovered inside a well in Jigawa state.

The incident occured in Garin Ganau Village in Babura Local Government, Jigawa State.

Some individuals were on their way to their farms on Friday, November 26 when they heard the cry of a new born baby inside an abandoned well.

Naija News gathered that when the individuals decided to investigate the situation, they discovered a newborn baby inside the well.

ASP Lawan Shiisu Adam, spokesperson of the state police confirmed the incident to Daily Post.

He stated that they received a report claiming that a newborn was discovered inside a well in Garin Ganau village.

Adam stated that the baby was taken to Babura General Hospital for treatment.

According to the police spokesman, the child is presently with  Social Welfare Department Babura LGA.

A 35 year old woman identified as Ni’ima Yakubu has been arrested in connection to the crime.

In other news, the Chairman of Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Association of Nigeria, Damola Olatunji, has revealed the actor who started skit making in Nigeria.

Olatunji on Saturday disclosed that comic actor, Babatunde Omidina, popularly known as Baba Suwe started skit making in the country.

According to Olatunji, the late veteran actor was a great man who enjoyed stardom to the peak. Read more
