Kano: Married Man, Bride-To-Be Found Dead Inside Car

The Kano State Police Command has commenced investigation into the death of Steven Ayika, a married man with two children and his mistress, Chiamaka Emmanuel who is expected to tie the knot in December.

It was gathered that Ayika and the bride-to-be were discovered dead inside a car, along the Katsina road area of Fagge local government in Kano.

The late club owner before his death was married to one Jennifer with two children, while Chiamaka was reportedly billed to tie the knot in December.

An eyewitness who spoke with Daily Trust on the incident said Ayika and Chiamaka were found in a car with tinted glass which was parked in front of Chiamaka’s family house along Katsina road.

According to the witness, he discovered that the car was locked from inside with the phones of the deceased switched off.

The spokesperson of the state Police Command, Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, while confirming the incident said their team rushed to the scene after receiving a report and rushed them to the hospital where doctors confirmed them dead.

“On the 23/11/2021 at about 0450hrs, a report was received that a car was sighted along Katsina Road, Fagge LGA Kano State with two (2) occupants, a male and a female motionless.

“On receipt of the report, the Commissioner of Police, Kano State Command, CP Sama’ila Shu’aibu Dikko, raised and instructed a team of detectives to proceed to the scene.

“The team immediately rushed to the scene. Victims, a male and a female inside the back seat of a Siena Motor Vehicle were removed and rushed to Murtala Mohammed Specialist Hospital Kano, where a Medical Doctor confirmed them dead.”

Kiyawa said on preliminary investigation, the male deceased was identified as Steven Ayika, of Jaba Quarters Kano while the female deceased identified as Chiamaka Emmanuel, of the same address.

He added that the investigation is ongoing.
