[BREAKING] #NigeriaDecides: Oluomo Shot Dead At Ondo INEC Collation Centre

Two masked gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have reportedly snatched a toddler from her mother in Ondo State.

The incident, Naija News understands, happened on Wednesday, November 24, at about 8:00 PM around Second Gate axis of the Army Barracks, along Ondo road, Akure.

The aggrieved mother, Taiwo Fashina told newsmen that the gun-wielding men raided her apartment shortly after returning home from a church programme.

Fashina explained further that the assailants arrived in an unregistered Mercedes car after she had opened her gate.

According to her, the masked men pointed their gun at her and threatened to shoot her if she refused to hand over her car key.

“They asked me to lie on the ground so I could not look up, but faintly I saw one of them carrying something, but I just thought they were carrying a bag and I didn’t know whether it was my baby girl they carried,” the PUNCH quoted Fashina as saying.

She added: “They used masks to cover their noses and mouths and asked me not to shout. They didn’t go in the car, they only went with the car key.

“I was calling Mary, where are you? I then noticed that I didn’t see the girl, that was when I started shouting and people came around.”

However, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Funmilayo Odunlami who was contacted on the phone for further details could not respond to her calls as at the time the report was given, Naija News understands.

Meanwhile, the Eze Ndigbo of Ifon in Ose Local Government Area of Ondo State, Chief Donatus Okereke, was abducted by suspected kidnappers barely two days ago.

Naija News reports that a community leader and Secretary to the Regent of Ifon, Olaniyi Eni Olotu, disclosed that the gunmen shot into the air before whisking him into the bush.

Olotu stated that both the Police and Amotekun had been contacted over the incident.

According to the community leader, the Igbo Chief’s vehicle was ransacked as large sums of money was reportedly taken away.
