The Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) has described the Coalition of Northern Group (CNG) as bunch of cowards for speaking against Igbo leaders.
Naija News understands that the Igbo group hit CNG after a statement by its spokesman, Abdul-Azeez Suleiman, berated Chief Mbazuruike Amaechi and Igbo patriotic leaders who visited President Muhammadu Buhari in Aso Villa to have a round table talk over the detention of IPOB’s embattled leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
Suleiman had said that the Igbo leaders’ demand and Buhari’s promise represent a grand conspiracy to accommodate an agenda of destruction and collective mayhem seen in the unacceptable actions taken against the state of the nation by the detained IPOB leader.
Responding to CNG in a statement issued on Wednesday by its National Director of Information, Comrade Edeson Samuel, MASSOB said it is unacceptable for the Northern group to make such an unhealthy comment against its leader.
The Igbo group said such a statement is unpatriotic, parasitic and insensitive and will never go unpunished.
The statement read partly: “MASSOB will always see CNG as a bunch of cowards, charlatans and street boys that are always at the service of Fulani northern oligarchy and their mission of enthroning Islamic fundamentalism in Nigeria. They are working for the northern-based Islamic terrorist organizations including the Fulani herdsmen, Fulani bandits, Boko Haram, ISWAP and president Muhammed Buhari-led Federal Government.”
“The Suleiman Abdul-led CNG has failed to call for the arrest of Sheik Gummi who has been negotiating, dining and speaking for terrorist criminals and bandits that are killing, kidnapping and causing genocide in northern Nigeria,” it said.
