Fani-Kayode Reacts As Tinubu Appoints 25-year-Old As FERMA Chairman

A former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, on Wednesday, said that joining the All Progressives Congress (APC) does not give him immunity.

Fani-Kayode who recently dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the ruling party stated this while reacting to the report of his arrest by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

According to the former minister in a post on his Facebook account Wednesday, there is nothing wrong if the commission had arrested him.

Recall that Fani-Kayode on Tuesday had claimed he was never arrested by the EFCC but was invited and he flew down to Lagos to see them.

This is coming after it was reported that the former minister was arrested by the anti-graft agency over alleged forgery and manipulation of documents.

Fani-Kayode, however, on Wednesday morning said he is not above the law and neither does joining APC gives him immunity.

He said, “I pity those that said I was arrested. They are filled with hate and live on fake news.

“Since when did an invitation and a friendly chat become an arrest? And even if I had been arrested, SO WHAT? I am not above the law and neither does joining APC give me immunity. My God is MIGHTY!.”

Fani-Kayode, however, failed to reveal why he was invited by the EFCC for questioning.
