WAEC Announces Final Decision On Candidates With Seized, Withheld Results From 2023 Examination

The West African Examination Council (WAEC) on Monday announced the release of results for candidates who sat the 2021 West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for internal candidates.

Announcing the result in Lagos, the Head of Nigeria National Office of WAEC, Mr. Patrick Areghan explained that One Million, Two Hundred and Seventy Four Thousand, Seven Hundred and Eighty-Four (1,274,784) candidates, representing 81.7%, obtained credits and above in a minimum of five (5) subjects, including English Language and Mathematics.

This is out of the One Million, Five Hundred and Sixty Thousand, Two Hundred and Sixty One (1,560,261) candidates who sat the examination.

One of the options available for the candidates to check their results is by SMS on their phones which must be sent in the format below to the shortcode 32327.

WAEC*ExamNo*PIN*ExamYear to the shortcode 32327

For example -: WAEC*4250101001*123456789012*2007

There should be no space in the message and the service costs ₦30.
