2023: Deji Adeyanju Reacts To 'Attack' On Kwankwaso In Kogi

Popular activist, Deji Adeyanju has again called on the Nigerian government to free two separatist leaders, Nnamdi Kanu and Sunday Igboho.

Adeyanju made the call on Monday when he questioned the continued incarceration of Kanu and Igboho by the government while he submitted that the same government has refused to arrest or put any bandit on trial.

Naija News recalls that Sunday Igboho remains in the custody of security operatives in Benin Republic after he was blocked from travelling out shortly after the invasion of his Ibadan residence by operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) for allegedly stockpiling weapons in his house.

The leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu on his part was re-arrested in an undisclosed foreign country and brought back to Nigeria where he is facing trial for charges related to treasonable felony and acts of terrorism. He is in the custody of the DSS from where he appears for trial on scheduled dates before Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court in Abuja.

Adeyanju however is his argument on Monday said the same treatment should be extended by the federal government to bandit terrorists operating in Nigeria.

He wrote on his Facebook page: “Free Nnamdi Kanu and Sunday Igboho now. Not one bandit has been arrested or is on trial anywhere in Nigeria.”

Meanwhile, controversial Islami cleric, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi has built a school for bandits located at Kagarko Grazing Reserve near Kohoto Village in Kaduna State.

Naija News reports that the school named Sheikh Uthman Bin Fodio Centre contains six classrooms that can be used for primary and secondary schools.

Speaking to reporters on Monday, Gumi said he decided to establish the school for the bandits in order to educate them and help solve their violent ideologies.

The cleric added that the school was built in the bandits’ remote location to show the sincerity of the initiative and to persuade them to lay down their weapons.
