INEC Releases List Of PVC Collection Centres Ahead Of Bayelsa, Imo, Kogi Governorship Elections

The Anglican Bishop of Asaba Diocese, Justus Mogekwu has asked pastors to ban church members without Permanent Voters Card (PVC) from partaking in the Holy Communion.

Mogekwu stated this in a sermon on Sunday, November 14.

He explained that Christians ought to get involved in politics to ensure that those who are in power fear God at all levels.

He went ahead to state that pastors should make sure their congregants had PVCs before allowing them to partake in Holy Communion or any other church activities.

He said: “Christians must actively get involved in politics to enthrone good governance at all levels. If men who are righteous and fear God are in power, the people rejoice.

“Pastors should ensure their members get their PVCs before they take communion and do other worship services in the household of God.

As communion is important to us as Christians, which makes us healthy, spirit-filled and very strong, it is such with the PVC that makes us enthrone good governance at any level.”

He later brought the sermon to a close by praying for good leaders in the upcoming election in Delta and the Federal level.
