Sagamu: Police Found Four Dead Bodies In Ogun Cultist, Ogunkemaya's Room

A Pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Sunday Adediran, has regained his freedom from Kidnappers in Cross River State.

Naija News understands that Adediran was whisked away to an unknown location by a group of kidnappers on November 13 in the Ikot Eneobong area of Calabar, the state capital.

The clergyman, however, regained his freedom after spending over 48hours with the terrorist group.

A statement made available to newsmen on Monday by the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Irene Ugbo, confirmed the development.

The police mouthpiece did not mention the name of the other victim (a teacher) that was also released.

Ugbo urged the general public to always avail the command with useful and timely information to help them respond to such cases appropriately.

She said: “The Commissioner of Police, Mr Aminu Alhassan, issued a strict order to men of Anti Kidnapping and Cultism Squad to go for their release, and immediately, they swung into action.

“I want to commend the swift action of SP Awodi Abdulhameed and his Dragon squad, their efforts yielded results and I can confirm to you that the victims are now in safe hands.

“I want to appeal to the public not to wait until something happens before they report, they should always report strange movement around them to curb this kind of ugly incident.”

Meanwhile, residents of Gwarjo, in Gwarjo Local Government Area of Katsina State, were over the weekend left in bitterness of heart after some yet to be identified gunmen attacked the community and killed at least six people.

Information made available to Naija News revealed that the gunmen stormed the community on Friday evening and started shooting sporadically at the helpless residents.

It was reported that telecommunications have been shut down in the community, hence the villages could not call for help when the assailants attacked.
