President Muhammadu Buhari has sent his condolences to the Founder/Chairman of Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, over the demise of his younger brother, Sani Dangote.

Naija News reported earlier today that the Vice President of the Dangote Group died on Sunday evening after battling a terminal disease.

President Buhari in a short message released by his spokesman, Mr. Femi Adesina on Monday commiserated with families and business partners of the late two-time President of Lagos Polo Club.

The President commended the deceased over his humility, industriousness, and generosity over the years, playing a key role in the success of their family business, dedicating his time to ensure fairness and optimum result in all endeavours.

Buhari urges approximation of his wonderful deeds on earth, praying that the Almighty God will grant him eternal rest.

Sani is said to have died at a United States of America hospital on Sunday evening after a protracted terminal illness.

Before his death, he was an established businessman with investments in key sectors of the economy, including manufacturing, agriculture, banking, and oil services.

Meanwhile, the Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP), has appealed to the United Nations to put pressure on the Federal Government to investigate the Abuja home invasion of Justice Mary Odili.

The group made this known in a petition dated 13 November 2021 and released by its Deputy Director, Kolawole Oluwadare, on Sunday.

In the petition, SERAP asked UN Special Rapporteur on the independence of judges and lawyers, Diego García-Sayán, to mandate the Muhammadu Buhari government to conduct a credible investigation into the illegal raid on the Supreme Court Justice’s house by rogue officials.
