Breaking: Police Reveal How Vanguard Reporter, Tordue Salem Died

The Vanguard reporter, Tordue Henry Salem who went missing before he was eventually found dead was killed by a hit-and-run driver, the Police have confirmed.

Confirming the development on Friday in Abuja, the Force Public Relations Officer, Frank Mba said the driver identified as Itoro Clement has however been apprehended.

Parading the suspected killer at the Police Intelligence Response Team (IRT) premises, Guzape, Abuja, Mba said Salem’s body, was discovered at the Wuse General Hospital.

The suspected killer was paraded along with his Toyota Camry vehicle with registration number Abuja BWR 243 BK.

Until his sudden disappearance and subsequent death, Salem was the correspondent of Vanguard Newspaper in the National Assembly.

Recall Naija News earlier reported that he was found dead, weeks after he disappeared.

Salem was last seen around Total filling station, close to the Force Headquarters, Abuja before he was eventually declared missing.

A complaint was made a day after he was last seen.

In other news, a video that captures the moment operators of the Itakpe-Warri railway line stopped at an unauthorized train terminal to pick up passengers has sparked outrage on social media.

In the video shared online, undocumented train passengers were seen waiting in an undisclosed location along the Warri- Itakpe axis to board the train.

One of the passengers waiting to board the train also be heard saying “The train just arrived and people are alighting and trying to board the train as it is heading to Warri”

Some of the train-service crew members could be seen helping the passengers which include men and women to board the train.
