Anambra: APGA’s Soludo Loses Ogbaru LGA To PDP’s Ozigbo

Obi Group Hails Ozigbo For Joining Obidient Movement

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Valentine Ozigbo, has emerged winner of the Anambra Governorship Election in Ogbaru Local Government Area.

Naija News gathered that Ozigbo polled a total of 3,445 votes ahead of Prof Chukwuma Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), who secured 3,051 votes while Senator Andy Uba of the All Progressives Congress (APC) polled 1,178.

However, Soludo is currently leading in two-thirds of the Local Government Areas of the state.

Senator Ifenayi Uba of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) and Ozigbo have won one LGA each.

While Senator Andy Uba of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is yet to win any LGA.

Results of four LGAs are being expected for the exercise to be brought to a close.

Although there are 21 LGAs in Anambra, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared that elections did not hold in Ihiala LGA.

In all, Soludo has a total of 89,490 votes across 14 LGAs, followed by Ozigbo with 43,142, and Uba with 35,788 votes.
