Ngige Rejects Bill Seeking Five-year Mandatory Practice for Nigerian-trained doctors

The Minister for Labour and Employee, Chris Ngige, on Saturday was hindered from exercising his civil right at the ongoing Anambra State Governorship election due to an issue with the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System machine.

It was gathered that the minister who was frustrated with the process had tried the capturing process about 15 times in one hour.

Ngige, while addressing newsmen charged the Independent National Electoral Commission to extend the time for voting to allow people experiencing delays in the election.

The minister disclosed that 30 percent of voters at the polling units have been affected by the failure of the BVAS.

Meanwhile, INEC has extended the ongoing Anambra State Governorship elections voting time to 4pm.

Naija News understands that the extension was necessary due to the delay experienced at several polling units as a result of malfunctioning BVAS.

INEC has called for patience, assuring that no voter would be disenfranchised and all votes would count.
