Security Operatives Launch Manhunt for Killers Of LAUTECH Student, Others

The Nigerian army has denied escorting buses filled with fake voters.

In a statement, released on Thursday, November 4th signed by Brig Gen Onyema Nwachukwu, Director, Army Public Relations said that viral video which has been making the rounds on social media was fabricated and baseless with the intention of discrediting their reputation and questioning their apolitical stance in the election.

The statement explained that the buses were conveying INEC permanent and adhoc staff.

They assured Anambra residents that they would always remain apolitical with the aim of conducting a free and fair election.

The statement reads: “The mischief makers, using the social media, shared a video alleging that soldiers were escorting buses filled with fake voters into Anambra State.

“Even though such despicable propaganda images can easily be punctured by any keen  observer, however for the sake of posterity, we wish to state without any equivocation, that no soldier of the Nigerian Army indulged in escort of fake voters into Anambra State.
