The witch doctor who spritually fortifies embattled Yoruba activist, Sunday Igboho, has been arrested and in DSS custody for 3 months.

The spiritualist identified as Dada Fasoto Arifàlanjogun was taken into custody 3 months ago in his home in Ekiti state.

The situation was disclosed by Dada’s mother Olomitutu Fasotutu in an interview with BBC.

She stated that since the 28 year old was arrested he has not been charged with any crime.

She also stated that all efforts made to locate her son even after visiting the police, DSS and other security agencies has  been futile.

She said: “There are several indications that my son was taken away by the DSS because other security agencies do not have my son with them, and they do not know anything about where he was taken to.”

Olomitutu also said that her son is quite gentle and carries out his traditional practices with the fear of God, while also stating that she was surprised that he was arrested simply because he was the spiritual adviser of Sunday Igboho.

The traditionalist mother called on Nigerians to help in advocating for the release of her son so he could return home to his wife and five year old child.

The sister in-law also gave a detailed account of how Dada was arrested.

She revealed that men in mufti who were fully armed arrived in two white Hilux buses on the 16th of July.

She said: “When the family members tried to stop the officers from arresting him, they cunningly called the police station at Okesha and told us to come for him at the station.

When we got to the station, we were told the officers that arrested Arifanlajogun were not from Okesha station, it was there it dawned on us that the officers lied to us and all efforts to know his whereabouts for about three months now have proved abortive.”

When the DSS office in Ekiti were contacted they said they could not comment on the issue and asked them to contact the DSS office in Abuja.
