Amotekun Nabs Notorious Criminal In Osun

The Osun State chapter of the Southwest security network codenamed Operation Amotekun, has arrested a notorious criminal identified as Ajibola Lateef.

Naija News understands that the pro burglar was nabbed following a tip off to the local security agency by residents who spotted him trying to sneak into the house of the another residents.

The suspect was nabbed on Monday, at Asamu, in Ola-Oluwa Local Government of Osun State.

The security outfit reportedly swung into action having learned about the suspect, arrested him and promptly handed him over to the personnel of the Nigeria Police, Ola-Oluwa Division.

When contacted, the Field Commander of Osun Amotekun Corps, Amitolu Shittu, confirmed the arrest, adding that during interrogation, the suspect confessed to the crime.

Lateef according to reports, have been terrorizing residents of Asamu and Telemu, two towns in the Local Government, with charms and other dangerous weapons.

Amitolu also revealed that the suspects had been handed over to the Ola-Oluwa Police Division which is investigating the crime.

He said: β€œHe was arrested by the operatives of Amotekun after a distress call was made by residents of the town.”

However, Lateef’s case according to reports has not been transferred to the Osun State Police Command, Osogbo.

In another news, parents of a seven-month-old child reportedly shot by men of the Nigerian Police Force in Benue State, have cried out over neglect.

The said infant, Naidoo Ahaangba, was shot at while a team of policemen were chasing after some hoodlums around the Makurdi International Market on October 7.
