French professional football player, Paul Pogba has been warned against his attitude at Manchester United.

The 28-year-old is warned to step up his performance for the English Premier League club which he joined from Juventus in 2016.

Naija News recalls that United signed Pogba for a then-world record transfer fee of €105 million (£89.3 million) under Portuguese professional football manager, Jose Mourinho.

Former Liverpool player, John Barnes, has, however, observed that the midfielder is lagging at United and needs to improve his attitude when playing for the Red Devils.

Barnes wants to see Pogba improve his performances for Man United to match his displays for France national team.

Naija News understands that Pogba has only won two trophies with United since he joined the club, claiming the Europa League and League Cup in his first season.

Speaking during an interview with Bonuscodebets, Barnes said: “Winning the World Cup in 2018 did not help Paul Pogba to win any trophies for Manchester United.”

Barnes insists that with Pogba’s price tag, much is expected of him for the Red Devils than he has given so far since he joined the club.

He added: “Playing for France and Manchester United are two different things. He plays much better for France than Manchester United, and that has a lot to do with how he feels about playing for France in terms of being a team player.

“Whereas, for Manchester United, with his price tag, and being who he’s, and the way we treat our superstar players in England. He probably feels he’s a superstar, so, therefore, plays differently, rather than being the team player, he’s for the national side.

“Winning a trophy with France won’t necessarily help him at Manchester United, until he decides to have the same attitude playing his club football, as he does for France.”
