The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Director of New Media, Anthony Ehilebo, has described Atiku Abubakar and Bukola Saraki as viable presidential candidates.

He told Daily Post that both Atiku and Saraki have been working behind the scenes to succeeding President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023.

According to him, the duo have structures and machineries across Nigeria, working on their presidential ambition.

He however noted that only PDP members can decide who would fly the parties flag in the 2023 election.

According to Ehilebo: “Atiku is a viable candidate but he may just be a victim of circumstance that is beyond his control or that of anybody.

“Saraki is also a viable candidate and he has been working on becoming the party’s flag bearer. You know, the thing with this is that these guys have been working towards becoming the president; it didn’t just start today.

“So, they have their machineries on ground and have been oiling them. But, there is the greater machinery of the party that would have its final say.”

Naija News reports that Atiku, a former Vice President and Saraki, a former Senate President, are yet to declare their presidential ambition.

But the odds might not be in their favour as the PDP has zoned its national chairmanship position to the north, which indicates that it’s presidential ticket may be given to the south.
