Boss Mustapha Storms Court, Testifies Against Emefiele In $6.2 Million Fraud Case

The Secretary to Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, has warned various separatist groups to desist from causing tension in the country.

He stated this during the weekend in Abuja at the interfaith roundtable and stakeholders’ dinner organized by the Methodist Church of Nigeria.

Mustapha, represented by Permanent Secretary, General Service Office, Maurice Mbaeri, said Nigeria’s unity is not negotiable.

The SGF disclosed that various clamours for self-determination in different parts of the country could destabilise the economy and threaten national security.

Also speaking, former Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen. Azubuike Ihejirika (retd.), said the security situation in the country should give any reasonable and patriotic Nigerian a sense of worry and concern.

He, however, asked the Federal Government to urgently address the security challenges in the country and make it peaceful for development.

Ihejirika also advised Nigerians to shun distrust and see cultural and ethnic differences as a source of strength for the country.

He said, “The security situation and spate of security challenges in the country should give any reasonable and patriotic Nigerian a sense of worry and concern.

“More worrisome is the occasional clamour for self-determination by a few individuals within some ethnic groups in the country.

“There is no doubt that the current situation is not the best. It poses a serious threat to our unity and corporate existence as a nation.”
