A member of the All Progressives Congress, Daniel Bwala, says no presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party can defeat both Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and the national leader of the ruling party, Bola Tinubu.

Speaking on Sunday during an appearance on Channels TV’s Sunday Politics, Bwala stated that the two APC chieftains have all it takes to defeat any PDP candidate in the 2023 presidential election.

He, however, stated the two APC members have an uphill task if former Vice President Atiku Abubakar decides to run for the presidency and to emerges as the PDP candidate.

These two candidates you’ve mentioned, each of them can clearly defeat any candidate that comes out of the PDP except if the candidate is Atiku Abubakar,” he said.

Meanwhile, according to Bwala, internal stability is one of the advantages the APC has on its side.

If you look at the APC in the last one or two years, there is a marked stability and marketability in the party which is the reason you will find a lot of people coming to the party,” he said.

Naija News reports that while neither of them has clearly come out to state their intentions to run, there are talks that they may emerge as possible candidates.

In other news, while political parties are desperately preparing ahead and for the 2023 presidential elections, the Peoples Democratic Party are still in the puzzle of electing a National Chairman for the party.

PDP, in dire need of new leadership, have continued to debate which candidate and from which zone is fit for the coveted position.

However, despite huge support for former Senate President, David Mark, to become the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Naija News understands that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and former Senate President, Bukola Saraki, are against his emergence.

A reportedly reliable member of the party revealed this to The Punch in a recent interview.
