Tyson Fury Knockout Deontay Wilder, Retains WBC Title

Tyson Fury, also known as the Gypsie King, knocked out Deontay Wilder ‘Bronze Bomber’ to retain is WBC heavyweight boxing crown.

Naija News reports that Fury ended the bout in a dramatic 11th round Knockout of the America on Saturday.

In a stunning battle that saw both fighters floored on multiple occasions, Fury finished the stronger to put Wilder down with a powerful right hook at the T-Mobile Arena.

This won’t be the first time Fury would be beating Wilder, as the Gypsie King had gotten one over him the last time the duo squared up.

Despite rising from the canvas twice in an instant classic in Las Vegas, Fury (31-0-1, 22 KOs) beat Wilder for the second straight time in their three bouts.

Speaking on the evening which saw a wild back-and-forth resulting in five combined knockdowns, Fury said: “It was a great fight.”

“It was worthy of any trilogy in the history of the sport. He’s a top fighter, and he gave me a real (test) tonight,” he said.

“Don’t ever doubt me when the chips are down,” Fury said. “I can always deliver.”
