A University of Lagos final year student has allegedly taken her life because she could not afford to pay school fees.

Sources claimed that she was depressed over the fact that she missed some of her final exams because she could not pay her school fees.

The terrible incident occurred on Thursday, October 7. The student identified as Adeola ingested a deadly insecticide known as sniper a source informed Saharareporters.

A student said: A final-year student of Lagos State University drank Sniper yesterday. The student committed suicide because she couldn’t afford to pay her school fee which stopped her from taking her final paper.

“Her name is Adeola, a sandwich student.”

Prior to her death, the deceased also uploaded on her status that if anyone loved her they should tell her about how they feel because when she is gone they would not be able to tell her again.

She wrote: If you love me, let me know because today may be the last chance for you. When I’m gone you won’t be able to tell me you love me.”

Meanwhile, a mother has also committed suicide over her inability to feed her children due to the non-payment of salaries.

The dire incident occurred in Okuhapa, Obagende Kogi state. The woman, identified as Yusuf Bosede Khadija jumped into a well to end her life due to non-payment of salaries.
