Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti has described the death of his Senior Special Assistant (Media) on Party Matters, Elder Sam Oluwalana as a painful loss.

In a condolence message on Wednesday to the family of the deceased, Fayemi described the death of his aide as sad, very shocking, and devastating.

Fayemi in the condolence message signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Yinka Oyebode, said the late Oluwalana was a thoroughbred journalist who achieved fame in his chosen profession by dint of hard work.

The governor said Oluwalana’s death was a huge loss to the state government, the All Progressives Congress (APC) and his native Omuo Ekiti.

He prayed to God to give the deceased’s family, friends and associates the strength to bear the irreplaceable loss.

Naija News gathered that Oluwalana died on Tuesday in Ado Ekiti after a brief illness.

In other news, President Muhammadu Buhari has described the death of his former Chief Security Officer (CSO), Alhaji Ahmadu Gaada as a personal loss.

Buhari made the submission in a condolence message on Wednesday to the family of the deceased in which he prayed to God to give them strength to bear the loss.

The President in the condolence message signed by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu said Gaada served him with “excellence and astuteness.”

He added that the late CSO is someone that places national interests above personal interests always.

Naija News reports Gaada served as Buhari’s Chief Security Officer as Military Head of State in the 1980s.
