Fire Guts Mosque, Valuable Properties In Kwara

The Federal Secretariat located at the Three Arms Zone in Abuja was on Wednesday gutted by fire.

Naija News reports that the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained as at the time of filing in this report.

Although men of the FCT fire service are currently battling the fire, some vehicles were said to have been affected by the inferno.

The fire incident was confirmed to newsmen by the spokesperson of the FCT fire service, Ibrahim Muhammed.

He stated that an 18-seater bus was gutted by fire and was the only affected property in the building.

While revealing that no life was lost, Ibrahim stated that the fire service were about to stop the inferno from spreading to other part of the buildings.

An 18-seater coaster bus at the parking lot was the one on fire at the federal secretariat and it was probably a staff bus,” he said.

The fire started after the close of work. At about 5:11 pm when we were called, we turned up at the scene immediately.

“We were able to put the fire under control with the assistance of the federal fire service, but the bus was a write-off. We were also able to prevent the fire from spreading to other parts of the building.”
